Episode 59: Victories and Frustrations!

Jetsetting:
  • Ran the whole 5k!!!! HOLY CRAP! Advice: would interval training help with breathing and pace over running long lengths of time? Gonna start doing some intervals to help with speed and breathing
  • Clothes are enroute to me now from Mom, bought a exercise shirt 2 sizes smaller then last time I bought exercise clothes!
  • May have somewhere to live! woot woot!
  • Pilot had good interview, but they had no room left in the classes
  • Working on other things, but its still frustrating. 
  • Wired my car for towing
  • Saw Heather to hug her, she needed it!
  • Got a Wendy update! We are on the down hill slide! In a Good way!

  1. Re running, and personal experience, part of it is just "getting the miles on your legs". I personally try to get my breathing in pace with my running (usually 2 breaths/2 paces). The couch to 5k training program is helpful with setting up intervals to get your running/breathing more regulated, but the main thing is just going to be running until it's better.

    I've run 5k a couple of times now with training runs being a few runs of 1-3 miles a few times per week. My next goal is to start moving up toward training 2-4 miles 2-4x per week with swimming and walking 2-3 times a week. That will make the 5k runs a lot easier. Plus, I'm now working my way up to a half marathon in November.
